Noemi Soto is an active educator, bassoonist and leader in South Florida. A native of Puerto Rico, she began her musical career at the age of 11, as a bassoonist. She received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Bassoon Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and proceeded to continue her education at The Juilliard School in pursuit of her Master of Music degree. At the start of the second year, she took the Principal bassoon position at the Orquesta Sinfonica Sinaloa de las Artes in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico where she played for eight years. In 2013, Mrs. Soto graduated from Lynn University with her Master of Music degree in Bassoon Performance. The professional and musical tools that she has acquired throughout her career have enabled her to develop artistically and as a leader in the community.
Since 2013, she performs with the Miami City Ballet and other orchestras in the area. Along with playing, her passion for instilling love for the arts in every person she meets has driven her to take on the full time role of educator. In January of 2016 she joined the Franklin family as the Elementary music teacher. In addition to her position, she now has taken the role of the Middle Years Program Chorus teacher and Choir Director at St. Edward Catholic Church. Mrs. Soto actively inspires all to connect through the love of music.
